Turkey & Brie Cheese Dim Sum

Crispy air fryer dim sum stuffed with minced turkey and brie cheese, topped with yuzu mayo and cranberry jam! This is the perfect Asian-fusion Christmas recipe especially for a smaller household!

Ingredients
  

  • 400 g turkey mince
  • 60 g brie cheese
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for air frying
  • 3 sheets spring roll pastry
  • Yuzu mayonnaise to serve
  • Cranberry jam to serve
  • Scallions finely sliced (for garnish)

Method
 

Prepare the Brie
  1. Cut the brie cheese into 8 even pieces.
  2. Set aside while preparing the filling.
Make the Turkey Filling
  1. In a large bowl, add the turkey mince, sesame oil, white pepper, salt, chicken bouillon powder, sugar, and corn starch.
  2. Mix thoroughly until the mixture becomes sticky and well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and roll into balls.
Stuff the Dim Sum
  1. Flatten one turkey ball in the palm of your hand.
  2. Place a piece of brie in the centre and wrap the turkey mixture around it, sealing completely.
  3. Repeat with the remaining turkey and brie.
Coat with Spring Roll Pastry
  1. Stack the spring roll pastry sheets and cut them into very fine strips using a sharp knife.
  2. Gently press the pastry strips all over each turkey ball until fully coated.
  3. Lightly spray or brush each piece with vegetable oil.
Cook
  1. Place the dim sum into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece.
  2. Air fry at 160°C for 15 minutes, or until the turkey is fully cooked and the pastry is golden and crisp.
Assemble & Serve
  1. Transfer the dim sum to a serving plate.
  2. Top each piece with a small dollop of yuzu mayonnaise and cranberry jam
  3. Finish with sliced scallions and serve immediately.
